The Astra New Wheels and Tyres

		Before we took the picture of the Astra with the new tyres we had to wash it. On the wheels we used Meguiars HOT RIMS. The car was jet washed first then on the wheels we applied HOT RIMS and jet washed off. A lot easier than having to get into all the crevices of the wheels. The astra has recently benefited from a new set of alloys and tyres. The alloys are MATRIX TORQUE 17'' with 215/40R17 NANKANG tyres. The alloys were delivered with tyres fitted and balanced, with new bolts, locking bolts and 4 fitment rings, the only part we had to do was fit them. There was no problem in fitting them as all we had to do was push the ring into place at the back of the wheel and bolt in place correctly.
		Even with the 40mm drop and hard driving there is no rubbing or catching which can be a worry when fitting big alloys to your car. Directional tyres (See left for picture) which must only be fitted one way as they help to disperse water away from the tyre tread and aid road grip. Which we all need on tight corners!
		Before fitting we decided to paint calipers and drums red to colour key with the car. Which we think helps to show off the style of alloy and accentuate the size.
